This is the central Bucharest you won't see on regular walking tours.
Meeting time: 10:00 am. The meeting point is the National Opera in Bucharest (Opera Square), at the entrance to the Opera, at the ticket office (it is a pleasant place, sheltered from the rain). Very close to the meeting place is the EROILOR metro station (Lines M1, M3, M4). We remain at your disposal by phone and internet for any clarification. The guide's phone number is sent privately. The ending point is: UNIRII Square, at about 16:00.
During the 20th century, our capital has seen transformations of the most diverse, intentional or accidental destruction, changes to the street grid and much more. The evolution after 1950 included the old industrial area on the outskirts of the city precisely in the center of the current city, resulting in the chaotic shape it has today and that we know in this pedestrian tour with the length of 8 kilometers, in which we have as landmarks: the Cotroceni district, the new National Cathedral (under construction), the old Uranus district, the first railway station in Bucharest, the site of the 1906 King Charles I National Exhibition (currently the Charles Park), the first electrical plant in Bucharest, discreet and hidden streets, all of which are arranged in around the natural relief created by the river Dâmbovița.
The fare can also be paid in lei (RON) at the exchange rate of the day.
Payment can be made both by bank transfer (yes, we also have Revolut), and by payment on the spot, with card or cash. The fee is fully refundable if you can no longer participate.
